We are proud of our hospitality and the welcoming attitude we have always shared with visitors to Quadra Island. During these challenging times, we would ask you to be a responsible traveler and help keep everyone safe. When visiting Quadra Island, please:
- Respect Closures and Off Limit Areas – High risk areas and community members need your help to stay safe. Our medical clinics, our post office and our grocery stores all have limits on the number of people who can use those services at a time. We would ask that you consider only having one member of your family visit those establishments and that you avoid busy hours when locals are trying to do their shopping.
- Follow provincial recommendations on travel within the province, which are summarized here: http://www.bccdc.ca/health-info/diseases-conditions/covid-19/prevention-risks/travel.
- Follow instructions posted at businesses – Each shop, restaurant and establishment have put in place procedures and infrastructure to keep us all safe; read signs, follow direction and be patient.
- Be COVID Smart – Maintain 2m physical distance, wear your mask when in public indoor spaces, wash your hands and stay home if sick. This shows you care about others and are doing your part.
- Get on island time – please drive slowly, give yourself time to get where you are going, be prepared to wait to enter establishments due to max numbers of people inside at a time. If you can, avoid travelling on our ferries during busy commuting hours.
- Respect each other and treat each other with kindness.
